The beautiful story continues…

When he created the Björka brand in 2008, Sylvain Michaut probably didn't imagine that she would take him so far, so high. After working for major French and American sports brands, the forty-year-old had an idea: launch his brand of clothing dedicated to cyclists. A universe that he knew perfectly. “I ran in pre-license, juniors and cadets at CC Étupes. At the time, my father supplied Robert Orioli's club with tracksuits,” he remembers. And then, a bad fall led his father to forbid him from cycling. Curtain ! Except that when this virus creeps into you, no vaccine, no treatment ever really eradicates it and one day, it comes back in one way or another.

I had a photo in front of me of the Norwegian Marit Bjoergen, the best cross-country skier of the time. We sponsored it. I liked the name. I wanted something that sounded Nordic. This is how I got to Björka. A designer made me the logo and that’s how it went,” says the entrepreneur. Initially, he had his jerseys and shorts made in China which - he admits - was not a guarantee of absolute quality. He then moved towards Italy and the Treviso region. The difference is abysmal.
